might just be the most important overlooked part of starting a business. For one thing, you might already have a few customers. And if you are starting your business on a shoestring and a credit card, you probably do not have much money to pay yourself a salary, much less pay for marketing.
But… how are people going to buy from you, if they don’t know about you?
Sure, you have a customer or two, and you want to keep them happy. You ask them for referrals, you network, pass out business cards (you do have business cards, don’t you?), possibly advertise on the internet. And even that is pushing your budget.
There are inexpensive ways to get your name out there.

There is never enough. You spend what you make. Prices are going up, raises are going down.
Say it however you want, we all need more money.
